Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Qofi partners with leading AI researchers to train frontier models on expert-level insurance and financial work. They are seeking a Personal Finance Project Lead to own the subject matter quality of a research project, focusing on drafting and reviewing technical planning questions and answers across various financial planning domains.
Responsibilities
- You will own the subject matter quality of the project: drafting and reviewing technical planning questions, gold-standard answers, citations, and grading rubrics across domains including Retirement Planning, Investment Management, Tax Planning, Insurance & Risk Planning, and Estate & Legacy Planning
- You will translate complex, multi-step client scenarios into clear, structured questions with technically accurate answers and authoritative citations (Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, CFP Board standards, and product documentation)
- You will review and quality-check work submitted by other planning contractors and calibrate the team on quality standards
- Comfort with ambiguous or multi-goal planning scenarios and strong attention to detail are important
- We will provide training resources and guidelines to help you learn data labeling and question authoring techniques
- You must be able to commit at least 15 hours per week for this role

Skills
- Background at a registered investment advisor (RIA), wealth management firm, private bank, or financial planning practice strongly preferred
- Expertise in one or more domains including Retirement Planning, Investment Management, Tax Planning, Insurance & Risk Planning, and Estate & Legacy Planning
- 3-10+ years of relevant financial planning or wealth management experience
- Strong background in technical planning analysis and client recommendation drafting
- Familiarity with the Internal Revenue Code, contribution and distribution rules, and fiduciary standards
- Ability to translate complex planning issues into clear, structured questions
- High attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience reviewing or supervising junior advisors or planners (project lead responsibility)
