Robert Half is partnering with a highly regarded Pacific Northwest law firm to identify an experienced Real Estate Finance Paralegal for a growing transactional practice. The role involves managing sophisticated commercial real estate and lending transactions, from document preparation through closing.
Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and maintain commercial loan documentation and lending forms
- Prepare initial drafts of loan documents and coordinate updates as transaction terms evolve
- Conduct litigation, bankruptcy, UCC, and related due diligence searches in support of real estate finance transactions
- Prepare, file, and manage UCC financing statements and related documentation
- Coordinate commercial loan and real estate closings, including preparing closing documents and organizing executed originals
- Ensure all closing documents are complete, fully executed, and delivered to lenders following closing
- Organize and maintain due diligence files and transaction records
- Work closely with attorneys, lenders, title companies, and other transaction participants to keep deals moving efficiently
- Assist with additional transactional and administrative projects as needed
Skills
- Prior experience as a Paralegal supporting commercial real estate, finance, banking, lending, or other transactional practice areas
- Experience reviewing and working with title reports, surveys, and closing documentation
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending transactions and closing processes
- Experience preparing and filing UCC financing statements
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and document formatting using Styles
- Experience working with PDF editing software and document management systems
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize competing responsibilities, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work product
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime during busy transactional periods
