Red Cedar Consultancy, LLC is seeking a Red Hat System Administrator to perform complex system administration tasks, manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, and contribute to technical deliverables while developing innovative solutions with a high degree of independence.
Responsibilities
- Understand and use essential tools for handling files, directories, command-line environments, and documentation
- Operate running systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services
- Configure local storage using partitions and logical volumes
- Create and configure file systems and file system attributes, including permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems
- Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, updates, and core services
- Manage users and groups, including the use of a centralized directory for authentication
- Manage security, including basic firewall and SELinux configuration
Skills
- Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification
- Active Secret Security Clearance
