Kearney & Company is seeking a highly skilled SAP ERP Consultant to join our team supporting one of the Federal government’s largest agencies. The role involves investigating transactional errors within the SAP ERP system, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance transaction workflows, and providing training and support to end-users.
Responsibilities
- Investigating and analyzing transactional errors within the SAP ERP system, pinpointing root causes and identifying corrective actions
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and IT, to understand transaction workflows and error origins
- Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills as significant time is spent drafting/updating communication artifacts (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop Guides, white papers)
- Documenting error resolution steps and outcomes to support knowledge sharing and process improvement
- Developing and maintaining user guides, FAQs, and other resources to aid in understanding and addressing transaction errors
- Providing training and support to end-users on SAP ERP transaction processing and error resolution techniques
- Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work in occasional high-pressure situations with short deadlines
- Directing and reviewing the work of Senior Associates
- Communicating status of project-related tasks to Team Lead and client
Skills
- BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university
- 5 years of progressive, relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain an U.S. Secret (or higher, such as Top Secret or TS/SCI) security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
- Experience analyzing Department of Navy general ledger postings
- Experience researching and resolving unmatched transactions within Navy ERP
- Experience with Fund Balance with Treasury (FBWT) reconciliations and Financial Reporting
- Experience working with DFAS reporting policy and procedures
- Experience working with DoW's Advanced Analytics (Advana) platform
- Experience working with DoW disbursing operations
- Ability to independently research data reconciling variances
- Experience researching and applying FASAB, OMB, and Treasury requirements including OMB Circular A-136, and/or the Treasury Financial Manual
- Highly proficient skills in MS Excel
- Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, and Foundry for data querying
- CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA certification
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other professional certification
