The Senior Accounts Payable Associate will support the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate reconciliations, timely issue resolution, and strong vendor relationships.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day success of the Accounts Payable function through accurate account reconciliations, AP aging review, and timely issue resolution
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Provide back-up support for payment processing activities, including in-office check printing as needed
- Assist with daily dashboards, aging reports, and other reporting that drive visibility and operational efficiency
- Maintain vendor records and support W-9 administration and 1099 reporting requirements
- Support timely payment processing in alignment with established schedules
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Document Accounts Payable policies and procedures while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with the Accounts Payable team on departmental projects and cross-functional efforts that enhance processes and service delivery
- Provide back-up support for daily dashboard and aging reports
- Support escheatment activities and other compliance-related responsibilities
- Bring a collaborative, service-minded approach while helping maintain efficient and accurate Accounts Payable operations across a growing national organization
Skills
- 5+ years of high-volume Accounts Payable experience, including Workday invoice expertise
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, financial chart of accounts, W9 familiarity and 1099 reporting
- Skilled in problem-solving, issue escalation, and handling confidential information
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable, growth-oriented, and eager to learn new skills
- Experience with Workday, Concur, Zendesk and NetSuite
