The Senior Instructional Designer will lead the design and development of engaging learning solutions, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs and effective learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end design and development of professional‑skill facilitator-led workshops and compliance/awareness base eLearnings, because you know great learning doesn’t happen by accident
- Partner with learners, business leaders, and subject matter experts to define performance needs and translate them into clear, measurable behavioral outcomes
- Continue to partner with stakeholders throughout the design process to ensure learning solutions stay aligned with business needs, guiding and influencing direction as needed to maintain scope and stay on track
- Build multi‑modal learning solutions including storyboards, workshops, activities, job aids, and digital assets that are practical, relevant, and digestible. Primary focus will be professional/soft skill facilitator-led workshop design and development
- Design and develop facilitator‑led behavioral upskilling workshops that help learners practice new skills through interactive activities, realistic scenarios, and guided discussions, making behavioral change feel approachable and engaging
- Develop Storyline‑based eLearnings, participant and facilitator materials, and other learning products that are clean, accessible, and designed for learner engagement
- Work closely with facilitators to ensure learning experiences are delivered as designed and achieve intended outcomes
- Share best practices, mentor junior designers, and help raise the bar across the L&D team
- Support measurement strategies to evaluate effectiveness and inform continuous improvement
Skills
- 10 + years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree. In lieu of degree, 14+ years in corporate Instructional Design required
- 10+ years in corporate Instructional Design/Development or related role
- Demonstrated design and development skills in professional or soft skills facilitator-led learning and compliance elearning (samples/demo will be required)
- Demonstrated ability to write strong behavioral based performance outcomes, identify skills gaps to create learning objectives, and draft program evaluation plans
- Experience with multi-component professional skill development and onboarding programs
- Track record for delivering measurable performance outcomes that enable skill development
- Experience with facilitation of skill development workshops
- Current experience interacting with senior leaders in a large, fast-paced, highly complex enterprise
- Must be willing to deliver a 15–20-minute presentation to Sr. Leadership as part of the final interview process
- Experienced user in Microsoft Office Products, Articulate Storyline, and Adobe Creative Cloud apps
- Master's degree in Instructional Design or Instructional Design certificates a plus
