AllStates Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Automation Engineer to support production operations in a cloud-first AWS environment. The role focuses on production support, infrastructure automation, and reliability engineering, working closely with various teams to build scalable and secure infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain production AWS infrastructure with an SRE-focused approach
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible
- Automate provisioning and configuration of AWS and hybrid cloud environments
- Improve CI/CD pipelines through automation, testing, security, and deployment optimization
- Support containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and EKS
- Build highly available, fault-tolerant, and self-healing infrastructure
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions using CloudWatch and Datadog
- Optimize cloud performance, reliability, and cost management
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams to support FDA, HIPAA, ISO 13485, and IEC 62304 requirements
- Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational support
Skills
- 3+ years of production AWS support experience
- Strong experience with Ansible
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience
- AWS Infrastructure and cloud operations
- Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation and/or Terraform)
- CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD)
- Docker and Kubernetes (ECS/EKS experience preferred)
- AWS services including: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudTrail
- Networking fundamentals
- Infrastructure automation
- Monitoring and logging (CloudWatch and/or Datadog)
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
- AWS Certification
- Hybrid cloud experience (AWS + On-Prem)
- Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
- Experience working in regulated environments (Healthcare, Medical Device, FDA, HIPAA, ISO)
- Experience with compliance and security best practices
