The Speaker Bureau and KOL Operations Manager will engage healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders to enhance clinical education and promote CGM technology, driving awareness and adoption across the nation.
Responsibilities
- Forge and expand relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and influential healthcare professionals nationwide
- Work hand-in-hand with internal and industry partners to support the execution and optimization of clinical education and market strategy, ensuring programs are aligned to business priorities and measurable outcomes
- Collaborate with advisory boards, facilitate training, and coordinate communication and performance enablement for KOLs and Speaker Bureau members
- Champion clinical education for HCPs by supporting product launches, training sessions, and clinical application workshops
- Develop concise, evidence-based presentations and educational materials that make complex science clear and actionable for every audience—from physicians and nurses to pharmacists and diabetes educators
- Confidently present at local, regional, and national programs, making every session memorable and meaningful
- Work with both our external and internal partners- Medical/Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, PR, and Sales & Marketing teams—creating a powerhouse of expertise to meet HCP needs with confidence
- Become a go-to resource for Dexcom’s internal teams, delivering clinical education on diabetes, management strategies, and therapies
- Provide clinical leadership and resources to the Dexcom Speakers’ Bureau and Field Sales and Training Teams, equipping them with everything they need—product training, clinical application, advocacy, and CGM interpretation—to champion CGM as the standard of care and drive organizational growth
- Partner with the Dexcom Speaker Bureau to shape education strategy and track and evaluate success through defined metrics (e.g., speaker utilization, program quality, engagement, ROI), using insights to continuously optimize strategy and execution
- Assist with training, contracts, communications, and relationship-building for KOLs, making sure they’re equipped to champion CGM across the healthcare landscape
- Contribute to best-in-class education programs that spotlight the latest clinical evidence and CGM innovations
- Work closely with our KOLs to guarantee all programs and materials are on-label and clinically approved, so every message is both accurate and effective
- Develop and implement content and messaging that support marketing, sales, and education—helping CGM become the standard of care for people with diabetes or prediabetes nationwide
- Seek out new opportunities to collaborate with HCPs, diabetes societies, and educational institutions, driving initiatives that increase CGM awareness and adoption in every corner of the healthcare community
- Support educational needs and work with industry partners to deliver compelling product education and clinical messaging, acting as a clinical resource for development teams
Skills
- Experience in clinical education, commercial education, speaker bureau programs, or healthcare program strategy within a healthcare, life sciences, or medical device organization
- Experience supporting or leading clinical education programs, speaker bureau initiatives, or peer-to-peer education efforts within a commercial or cross-functional environment
- Experience designing, managing, or optimizing education programs, including defining success metrics, assessing speaker performance, and improving program quality, scalability, and overall impact
- Top-notch written and verbal communication skills
- Expert at developing high-quality educational content and guiding presentation excellence across diverse audiences
- Collaboration skills and ability to work with others to achieve shared goals
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience
- At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience
- Clinical background with experience in diabetes, CGM, or patient care
- Experience working with or supporting Speaker Bureau or peer-to-peer education programs
- Experience with program analytics, performance tracking, or education strategy
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance, regulatory environments, or KOL engagement models
- Strong understanding of Dexcom CGM and competitive products
- Solid grasp of current and emerging diabetes therapeutics
