Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Nscale is a GPU cloud engineered for AI, providing infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprises. The Strategic Operations Lead will work closely with the CEO and Chief of Staff to drive cross-functional initiatives, support planning, and ensure senior leadership has the insights needed for decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead high-priority, cross-functional projects on behalf of the CEO
- Partner with leaders across Product, GTM, Finance, and Operations to drive alignment and execution
- Break down ambiguous problems into clear workstreams, milestones, and deliverables
- Conduct deep dives and ad hoc analysis on strategic and operational topics
- Support the company’s operating rhythm, including weekly leadership meetings and follow-ups
- Assist in quarterly planning cycles, including OKR tracking and alignment across teams
- Track progress against company priorities, identifying risks and gaps early
- Work across teams to unblock issues and maintain execution momentum
- Own the weekly reporting process, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and actionable
- Build and maintain core dashboards and tracking frameworks across the business
- Identify trends, risks, and performance gaps, escalating insights to the CEO and Chief of Staff
- Prepare high-quality briefing materials for leadership meetings, board discussions, and external engagements
- Synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and actionable outputs
- Act as a thought partner to the Chief of Staff on priorities, focus areas, and execution
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, investment banking, or a high-growth startup environment
- Strong problem-solving ability with a track record of structuring ambiguous problems into actionable plans
- Highly analytical, with experience in building models, dashboards, and synthesizing data into insights
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across senior leaders
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a high degree of ownership
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear narratives
- High attention to detail and a bias for action, with a focus on delivering outcomes
