In preparation for its next ambitious campaign, the Division of Institutional Advancement (IA) seeks to strengthen the bonds with the university's many constituencies. By working together, we will secure the financial resources necessary to continue the legacy of excellence in teaching, research, and scholarship at Brandeis.

Located nine-miles west of downtown Boston, a global hub for higher education and innovation, Brandeis University is accessible via major highways (I-90 and I-95) and the MBTA Brandeis/Roberts commuter rail stop. This position is also hybrid eligible.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Director of Development, A&S/GSAS will serve as lead for advancement work to strengthen the core of Brandeis University. Serve as a critical strategic partner to both Deans to connect with faculty and alumni to create and offer significant philanthropic opportunities. Maximize the effectiveness of the Deans? philanthropic efforts. Collaborate closely with, and take direction from, the University Institutional Advancement Office regarding funding strategy, stewardship and donor relations, prospect management, and gift processing. Develop timelines and strategic moves; ensure appropriate, timely follow up with identified prospects while maintaining strong relationships with the Arts & Sciences Division Heads, senior leadership, and faculty.
