Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Engineer specializing in Data Analytics, you will play a critical role in driving technical success for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Client Engagement: Support local business groups in pursuit of key business opportunities and engage directly with clients to address all aspects of the data lifecycle—from ingestion and storage to processing and visualization.
- Requirements Analysis: Identify business and technical requirements, conduct comprehensive technical discovery, and architect custom client solutions to meet accumulated requirements with precision and scalability.
- Technical Leadership: Lead major technical projects including technology advocacy, assisting with responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources.
- Solution Demonstration: Work with arenaflex Cloud Platform products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in client/partner environments. Travel for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities as needed.
- Sales Support: Prepare and deliver compelling product messaging that highlights the arenaflex Cloud Platform value proposition, using techniques that include whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents.
- Technical Consultancy: Serve as the trusted technical advisor for clients, helping them navigate their digital transformation journey and making recommendations that align with their business objectives.
Required Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you'll need to bring a strong foundation of technical expertise and client-facing experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Six years of experience in virtualization or cloud-native architectures in a customer-facing or support role.
- Demonstrated experience with traditional analytic warehouse solutions, Big Data technologies, real-time streaming, performance, and scalability optimizations.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing (e.g., cloud market, competitive dynamics) and experience presenting technical demonstrations or public speaking.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
If you have these additional skills, you'll be even better positioned to excel in this role:
- Experience with architecture layout, implementing, tuning, schema design, and query optimization of scalable and distributed systems.
- Background in technical business or professional consulting specifically in cloud computing, data analytics, and Big Data.
- Hands-on experience building data warehousing solutions, data lakes, batch/real-time event processing, streaming, data processing (ETL/ELT), data migrations, data visualization tools, and data governance on cloud-native architectures.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing, cloud market dynamics, and customer buying behavior.
- Ability to analyze consumer requirements and break them down to design comprehensive technical architectures that solve real business problems.
- Experience with modern data visualization platforms and business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in cloud environments.

- Base Salary: The US base salary range for this full-time role is $139,000-$213,000, commensurate with experience, location, and qualifications.
