Position Overview: Salesforce Data Entry Professional
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Salesforce Data Entry Professional to join our global team through our Returnship Program. This part-time, fully remote position is perfect for professionals who are comfortable working with data, passionate about philanthropy, and looking for flexibility in their work schedule. You will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and organization of our Salesforce CRM platform, which is the backbone of our donor and partner management systems.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to re-enter the workforce with a company that values work-life balance, respects diverse backgrounds, and genuinely cares about making a positive impact. You will be joining a truly global team spanning more than 25 cultures and over 20 countries, including team members from Russia, China, Japan, Ukraine, Georgia, the Philippines, Haiti, Germany, Canada, the Kurdish population, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Kenya, and many more. This diversity strengthens our organization and allows us to understand and serve populations worldwide more effectively.
Key Responsibilities
As a Salesforce Data Entry Professional at arenaflex, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and organization of our critical database systems. Your daily tasks will include:
- Salesforce Data Entry: Accurately input, update, and maintain donor information, volunteer records, partner organization details, and transaction data within our Salesforce.com CRM platform. You will ensure that all data is entered correctly and in a timely manner to support our fundraising and partnership efforts.
- Data Labeling and Organization: Apply proper pulldown labeling and categorization of data within Salesforce to ensure effective tracking and reporting. This includes tagging donations by campaign, categorizing partner organizations by focus area, and maintaining standardized picklist values across the database.
- Contact Research: Utilize our research tools, including Spokeo, Snov.io, and other resources, to gather contact information for potential donors, corporate partners, and volunteer coordinators. Your research will help expand our network and enable us to reach more people who want to make a difference.
- Partner Organization Research: Conduct thorough research on existing and prospective partner organizations, including gathering information about their leadership, mission, programs, and impact. You will enter this biographical information into Salesforce to provide our team with comprehensive profiles that inform our partnership decisions.
- Data Quality Assurance: Perform regular audits of data to identify and correct inconsistencies, duplicates, or outdated information. Your meticulous attention to detail will help ensure that our team relies on accurate data for decision-making.
- Special Projects: As you demonstrate success and a positive attitude, you will have the opportunity to take on additional special projects that align with your skills and interests. These projects may include data migration tasks, reporting assistance, process improvement initiatives, or supporting other team members with ad-hoc requests.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our development, fundraising, and partnerships teams to understand their data needs and ensure that the information in Salesforce supports their work effectively.
Essential Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional training and experience. We welcome candidates from all academic backgrounds who demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and intellectual curiosity. We value diverse educational experiences and believe that professionals from various fields bring unique perspectives to our work.
- Salesforce Experience: Strong proficiency in Salesforce data entry, including familiarity with standard objects, custom fields, picklists, and basic workflow. You should be comfortable navigating the Salesforce interface and entering data accurately and efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is absolutely essential for this role. You must have the ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and duplicates in data and correct them proactively. In the nonprofit sector, accurate data can mean the difference between a donation reaching a worthy cause or being lost in the system.
- Research Skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct online research using various tools and platforms. You should be comfortable searching for contact information, organizational profiles, and biographical data from multiple sources.
- Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills for entering notes and descriptions into the database. You should be able to summarize information clearly and professionally.
