Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Security Risk Engineer (L4) with a passion for data analysis and risk management to join our Enterprise Risk Management team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing programs that promote risk measurement, statistical modeling, and impact analysis to build confidence in risk response activities across the organization.
You will help establish and implement a comprehensive strategic vision for the risk program at arenaflex. This position offers significant visibility across the organization and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive risk management excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Measurement & Analysis: Utilize data analysis to improve decision-making processes across the organization, developing sophisticated models that quantify and qualify enterprise risks.
- Executive Reporting: Create compelling data visualizations for senior leadership that effectively communicate risk posture, reduce uncertainty, and support strategic planning initiatives.
- Statistical Modeling: Apply advanced statistical techniques including Monte-Carlo simulations, sensitivity analysis, and probabilistic distributions to enhance risk frameworks.
- Risk Framework Development: Develop and maintain key risk indicators, control indicators, and key performance indicators for various programs and initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teams across the organization to identify, assess, and mitigate risks while maintaining business momentum.
- Loss Scenario Development: Apply cybersecurity risk expertise to develop loss event scenarios across operating networks, business units, enterprises, and products.
- Risk Assessment Support: Participate in quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, understanding the value of qualitative data for improving quality and engineering cycles.
- Business Translation: Interpret internal or external cybersecurity risk assessments in business terms and recommend appropriate courses of action to stakeholders.
- Self-Service Risk Management: Develop templates and educational materials that enable self-service risk management activities based on defined risk tolerances.
- Process Improvement: Monitor and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of risk management processes continuously.
- Risk Intelligence: Stay current with emerging risks, industry trends, and best practices in risk management and cybersecurity.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python, or similar statistical computing environments.
- Database Skills: Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques.
- Visualization Tools: Experience with Tableau or other statistical visualization tools.
- Risk Frameworks: Understanding of risk management frameworks such as FAIR (Factor Analysis of Information Risk) and familiarity with quantitative risk assessment methodologies.
- Data Analysis: Strong grasp of data collection, data cleaning, and data analysis techniques.
- Communication: Excellent ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related field (Master's or higher).
- Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISSP, or PMP.
- Experience with Monte-Carlo simulations and advanced statistical modeling.
- Background in cybersecurity risk management within technology, media, or entertainment industries.
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, or other regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in developing risk dashboards and executive-level reporting.
- Familiarity with cloud security architecture and emerging technology risks.
