Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at arenaflex, you will report directly to the Manager of Business Insight and serve as a pivotal contributor to our data-driven culture. Your responsibilities will encompass the following core areas:
Information Extraction and Integration
- Identify and extract data from diverse sources, including internal databases, external platforms, and third-party systems
- Aggregate and consolidate information into robust, comprehensive reports that support strategic decision-making
- Develop efficient data pipelines and extraction processes that streamline information flow across departments
- Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the extraction and integration workflow
Data Visualization and Reporting
- Design and develop intuitive, visually compelling dashboards and reports that effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders
- Utilize industry-leading visualization tools to create dynamic reports that allow business users to explore data independently
- Ensure accuracy and clarity in all data presentations, enabling informed decision-making at various organizational levels
- Present complex data findings in accessible formats tailored to different audiences, from C-suite executives to operational teams
- Continuously refine and optimize existing reports based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business requirements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science to optimize data collection, storage, and analysis processes
- Provide expertise and guidance on data-related projects and initiatives across the organization
- Act as a trusted advisor to business partners, translating technical concepts into actionable business recommendations
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and data literacy across departments to enhance overall organizational capabilities
Data Quality Assurance and Integrity
- Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data used for insights and reporting
- Proactively identify potential challenges and issues in data quality and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks
- Establish and enforce data governance standards that ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular audits and validation checks to verify data accuracy and completeness
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate proven expertise in the following areas:
- Four years of experience in SQL with Big Query or similar platforms, including advanced query optimization, window functions, and complex joins
- Four years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or comparable platforms, with demonstrated ability to create executive-level dashboards
- Four years of experience conducting data analysis, including statistical analysis, trend identification, and predictive modeling fundamentals
- Four years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including advanced functions, pivot tables, and VBA) and PowerPoint for executive presentations
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline, OR a High School Diploma with four years of equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will significantly enhance your candidacy:
- Understanding and practical experience working with digital media technology stacks, including advertising technology platforms
- Experience with Data Management Platforms (DMPs), Demand Side Platforms (DSPs), Supply Side Platforms (SSPs), or sell-side platforms
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or Adobe Marketing Cloud
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within team environments and across organizational functions
- Experience in retail media, e-commerce, or digital advertising industries
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis
