Position Overview
As the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Retail Media Trade (CMX), you will serve as an essential contributor to our retail media arm's success. This role reports directly to the Director of Business Intelligence and functions as a key driver of data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams.
This position is ideal for a self-starter who excels at identifying patterns in complex datasets, communicates findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels, and takes pride in delivering accurate, impactful analytical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Extraction and Analysis: Identify, extract, and aggregate data from various internal and external sources to compile comprehensive reports that address critical business questions. Utilize advanced SQL querying and database management skills to navigate large-scale datasets efficiently.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Develop intuitive and visually compelling dashboards and reports using industry-leading tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Ensure precision and clarity in data presentation, enabling informed decision-making at executive, management, and operational levels throughout the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams to streamline data collection, storage, and analysis processes. Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on data-related initiatives and strategic projects.
- Data Quality Assurance and Integrity: Implement rigorous quality assurance protocols to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data used for insights and reporting. Proactively identify potential challenges and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure data consistency and trustworthiness.
- Business Insight Generation: Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations that support strategic business objectives. Present insights confidently to stakeholders and influence decision-making across the organization.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and implement best practices that increase team efficiency and data accessibility.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Technical Expertise: Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and Big Query or similar database platforms for complex data extraction and analysis.
- Visualization Skills: Minimum of 4+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or comparable platforms. Demonstrated ability to create intuitive, stakeholder-friendly dashboards.
- Analytical Experience: Minimum of 4+ years conducting quantitative data analysis, including statistical analysis, trend identification, and predictive modeling.
- Business Tools Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, data analysis add-ins) and strong PowerPoint abilities for creating professional presentations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with digital media technology stacks, including Demand-Side Platforms (DSP), Supply-Side Platforms (SSP), and Data Management Platforms (DMP).
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Adobe Marketing Cloud ecosystems.
- Understanding of retail media networks, programmatic advertising, and e-commerce analytics.
- Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and experiment design.
- Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis is a plus.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within team environments and across organizational boundaries.
