The Opportunity We are looking for a highly experienced CPA who can hit the ground running — someone who brings deep technical expertise, strong client relationship skills, and the judgment to work independently from day one. This is a senior-level role with real influence over how the firm operates and grows. What You'll Do ● Lead preparation and review of complex individual and business tax returns, including multi-state, S-corps, partnership, and trust returns ● Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of established clients on tax planning, compliance, and advisory matters ● Oversee bookkeeping and accounting engagements for business clients ● Mentor and support junior staff, helping elevate the quality and efficiency of the team ● Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic decisions, workflow improvements, and practice development ● Identify planning opportunities and proactively deliver value-added advice to clients What We're Looking For ● CPA license required (New York; other state licenses a plus) ● 10+ years of public accounting experience, with demonstrated expertise in complex individual and business tax matters ● Deep knowledge of pass-through entity taxation (S-corps, partnerships, trusts) and multi-state compliance ● Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax strongly preferred; QuickBooks Online and payroll platform experience a plus ● Proven ability to manage client relationships independently — you bring your own instincts, not just technical skills ● Leadership mindset — someone ready to step in, take ownership, and help shape the future of the firm Compensation & Benefits ● Salary: $150,000 – $175,000, commensurate with experience ● Equity path — near-term ownership opportunity for the right candidate ● Collaborative, professional work environment ● Nassau County, Long Island — hybrid
