As a Senior Data Engineer at American Airlines, you will:
- Design, implement, and support analytics solutions, providing insights to inform business decisions
- Work closely with source data application teams and product owners to develop and maintain analytics solutions
- Implement data migration and data engineering solutions using Azure products and services, as well as traditional data warehouse tools
- Perform various aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, cloud engineering, ingestion, deployment, data modeling, testing, and performance tuning
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate within a team environment, as well as work independently
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
- At least 2 years of experience in software application development using agile, DevOps, and working in a product model
- 2 years of data analysis experience using SQL
- 2 years of cloud development and data lake experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Azure technologies, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure DevOps
