About the role:   
BaptistCare is one of Australia’s largest home care providers and a leader in service quality and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to support our growing team. You will deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs, with a focus on reablement and restorative care. Your work will help older people maintain or regain independence, mobility, and confidence to remain living at home.  

This is a 6‑month fixed term contract offering full‑time or part‑time hours (minimum 4 days per week) and we welcome applications from internal candidates across our national organisation.

About you:  

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience working in a variety of aged care services, including the community setting
• Demonstrated ability to assess Occupational Therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged care clients
• Knowledge of wellness and re-ablement approaches and consumer directed care
• Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and unit management
• Highly developed leadership, interpersonal and team management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, and independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated computer literacy and willingness to utilise required software
• Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work
• Current First Aid Certificate 
• Registered vehicle with minimum of Third Party Property Damage or Comprehensive Insurance
• Current unrestricted drivers licence
