SEO Strategist

The SEO Specialist is a mid-level SEO role responsible for owning and executing search optimization initiatives that improve organic visibility, traffic, and conversions for client websites. This role involves hands-on management of day-to-day SEO tasks, performance analysis, and close collaboration with internal teams to support overall marketing strategies. The SEO Specialist balances technical SEO knowledge, on-page and off-page execution, and analytical skills to contribute to measurable client growth.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Execute SEO strategies across multiple client accounts under the guidance of senior SEO leadership.
  • Conduct keyword research, on-page optimization, metadata improvements, and content recommendations.
  • Perform technical SEO audits to identify improvement opportunities and assist with implementation plans.
  • Monitor industry and algorithm changes to ensure client strategies stay current.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with content, web development, and account teams to ensure SEO is integrated into broader marketing efforts.
  • Provide SEO support for campaign launches, content planning, and website enhancements.
  • Participate in client calls as needed to present insights and share progress updates.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Analyze organic performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms.
  • Create monthly performance reports with key findings, optimizations completed, and data-driven next-step recommendations.
  • Identify trends and proactively surface new ideas to improve results.


Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally in an agency or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and foundational technical SEO concepts.
  • Experience with GA4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Semrush, and/or Ahrefs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable presenting performance insights and reporting directly to clients.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI-driven SEO tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) or emerging search technologies.
  • Experience with project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Monday.com).
  • SEO or analytics-related certifications.
