Specialist I, Procurement Specialist (Humanitarian Emergency Response)

Job Summary The Procurement Specialist supports humanitarian emergency and rapid response operations by carrying out assigned procurement activities to obtain goods and services for global and country programs. Working within established procedures and under guidance, s/he supports timesensitive procurement in highrisk operating environments while adhering to CRS procurement principles, donor regulations, and humanitarian standards. The Specialist I contributes to efficient, transparent, and welldocumented procurement processes that enable lifesaving assistance for vulnerable populations.

 

Note: This is a remote work position.

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

Required Languages: English. French, Spanish, and/or Arabic are highly desirable. Travel: Be willing and able to travel up to 25%, including to fragile or emergency response contexts. Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or another relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in nonprofit or public procurement/purchasing management, preferably supporting humanitarian or emergency response operations. Experience with an international organization preferred.
