About the Netfx Team
The Netfx team is a dynamic, cross-functional visual effects (VFX) initiative built on arenaflex's innovative platform. This groundbreaking program optimizes the pairing of talent to responsibilities, enabling us to execute a high volume of global projects efficiently. Netfx boasts an extensive ecosystem of assets, including VFX companies and artists throughout the post-production environment, ensuring our members experience the best version of every show, movie, and series.
As an intern on this team, you'll be at the heart of innovation, helping us refine our operational workflows while gaining invaluable experience in business analytics and global marketplace dynamics.
What You'll Do
As a Summer Business Analytics Intern, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our marketplace analysis and strategic decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Marketplace Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of well-established transactional and digital marketplaces to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Industry Research: Research and analyze industry developments and competitive landscapes for international marketplaces, providing actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
- Strategic Recommendations: Offer insights and recommendations based on your market analysis to support leadership in making informed strategic choices.
- Competitive Pricing: Collaborate with senior team members to develop and refine competitive pricing strategies that maximize value for both the organization and our members.
- Financial Modeling: Assist in developing financial models to evaluate business performance and assess potential scenarios for growth and optimization.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Contribute to forecasting and budgeting procedures that support overall financial planning efforts across the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across various departments to gain a holistic understanding of the business and identify opportunities for synergy.
- Presentation & Communication: Participate in meetings and presentations to share your findings and recommendations with senior leadership and stakeholders.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a candidate who is eager to learn, passionate about the entertainment industry, and ready to contribute to meaningful projects from day one. Here's what we're looking for:
Essential Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a university program (Bachelor's or Master's degree) with a focus on Business, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
- Interest in working within the film and entertainment industry.
- Strong interest in global marketplace analysis and platform economics (buyer/seller dynamics).
- Residence in Belgium during the internship period (relocation and housing assistance may be provided if applicable).
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with software programs including Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment in decision-making.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and workflows.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Previous experience or coursework in data analysis, market research, or business strategy.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Experience working in cross-functional teams or collaborative projects.
