Civil Design Engineer
VS Engineering is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our Northern & Lexington, KY team for a hybrid role focused on infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design calculations, reports, planning preparation, and roadway modeling for transportation projects.
- Assist office leadership with proposal development and preliminary project evaluations.
- Develop relationships with public agencies and other firms to enhance project coordination efforts.
- Coordinate project tasks and communicate status updates to project managers and supervisors.
- Support Indianapolis and regional offices on a variety of civil engineering infrastructure projects.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program
- Engineer in Training (EIT) in Kentucky (required) or Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Experience in transportation project design (KYTC, county, and municipal projects preferred)
- At least 4 years of experience using MicroStation and Bentley OpenRoads Designer
- AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency (preferred)
- Technical proficiency in:
- Drainage software (StormCAD, CDSS)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Adobe
