Perform a variety of administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and answering phone calls, to support the efficient operation of government offices.
Greet and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive image of the State of New York is maintained.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases, including personnel files, financial records, and other important documents.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for government officials and staff.
Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, including confidential and sensitive materials.
Monitor office supplies and place orders as needed to ensure the office is well-stocked and equipped for daily operations.
Collaborate with other departments and agencies within the government to facilitate communication and information sharing.
Provide excellent customer service to citizens, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in administrative procedures and government processes.
Adhere to all government policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations, to ensure compliance and maintain confidentiality.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline administrative processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials as needed to support decision-making and communication within the government.
Act as a liaison between various departments and agencies to coordinate projects and tasks.
Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the government.
