Position Overview
We are currently looking for an Associate Data Scientist to become an integral part of our Decision Science team within the Pricing and Revenue Management (PRM) division. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in the United States, with occasional travel to our Denver headquarters for team collaboration and strategic planning sessions.
As an Associate Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced quantitative models and analyses that drive critical business decisions. Key Responsibilities

- Quantitative Analysis and Modeling: Design, execute, and deliver advanced quantitative analyses and statistical models using operations research methodologies, machine learning techniques, and programming skills to inform decision-making and operational processes.

- Insight Communication: Present findings, analysis results, and model recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership, in a clear, compelling, and actionable manner.
- Programming and Development: Work extensively with Python, SQL, and other coding languages to build and maintain analytical solutions, ensuring code quality and reproducibility.
- Hypothesis Development and Testing: Formulate hypotheses to test and understand the limitations and implications of analytical results, ensuring robust and reliable conclusions.
- Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Collaborate with and mentor team members, contributing to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is required. An advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a scientifically-focused program is strongly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated professional experience with SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages is required. Familiarity with statistical analysis methodologies is essential.
- Experience Level: Zero to two years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, modeling, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in airline pricing, yield management, revenue management, revenue analysis, revenue systems, or a similar role is preferred but not required.
