Children’s Book Illustrator Needed – Soft, Whimsical, Light-Filled Style (Ages 4–8)

Hello!

I am an author working on a children’s picture book titled The Light That Lives in You. This is a heartfelt, uplifting story for children ages 4–8, focused on themes of inner light, love, and emotional warmth.

I’m looking for an illustrator who can bring this story to life in a soft, whimsical, and emotionally expressive style.

Art Style I’m Looking For:
• Gentle, light-filled, and magical (not cartoonish or overly bold)
• Soft textures, warm tones, and expressive characters
• A style that feels calming, comforting, and meaningful
• Nature-inspired elements are a plus (trees, light, subtle magical atmosphere)
• Important: No use of crystals in illustrations

Project Details:
• Approximately 20–24 illustrations (a mix of full-page and possibly a few spot illustrations)
• Full-color illustrations
• Cover design included or quoted separately
• This is a paid project (please include your rates or packages, ideally per illustration or full project)

What I’m Looking For in You:
• Experience illustrating children’s books (please include samples)
• Strong communication and reliability
• Ability to collaborate and bring emotional depth to scenes
• Willingness to create 1 paid sample illustration before full project commitment

Timeline: Flexible, but I would like to begin soon.
