What You'll Do
As a Customer Service Coordinator at arenaflex, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional passenger experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
Sales and Reservations
- Promote and sell air travel services to the traveling public and cargo forwarders
- Assist customers with booking, modifications, and cancellations of flights
- Provide expert guidance on routes, schedules, fares, and travel packages
- Upsell premium services and amenities to enhance the customer experience
Check-In and Boarding Operations
- Manage passenger check-in processes, including ticket issuance and seat assignments
- Handle baggage acceptance, tagging, and cargo acceptance procedures
- Process boarding passes and verify travel documentation
- Coordinate boarding procedures to ensure timely departures
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation
- Interpret and apply government regulations for domestic and international travel
- Ensure compliance with customs, immigration, and security requirements
- Verify passenger documentation including passports, visas, and health certificates
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by regulatory agencies
Flight Operations Support
- Meet and dispatch aircraft within established timeframes
- Coordinate with flight crews and ground operations teams
- Manage ramp operations and coordinate aircraft turnaround activities
- Operate air stairs and ground support equipment for passenger boarding and deplaning
Customer Assistance and Support
- Provide exceptional assistance to distressed travelers and customers
- Handle complaints with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency
- Re-book affected passengers during delays, cancellations, or irregular operations
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve complex customer issues
Safety and Security
- Respond effectively during security and emergency situations
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures meticulously
- Protect company property and revenue through vigilant monitoring
- Maintain secure and safe travel environments for all passengers and staff
Operational Excellence
- Utilize strong organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within tight timeframes
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards
- Lead and direct the work of other team members as needed
- Perform Passenger Activity Control functions including air-to-ground communications
- Execute Peak operations duties during high-traffic periods
All You Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Bilingual language skills are a plus in certain locations
- Valid driver's license as required by local authorities
- Ability to pass FAA criminal background checks for unescorted access to Airport Security Identification Display Areas (SIDA)
- Ability to obtain appropriate airport and/or US Customs security identifications as required
- Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to report to work in a regular and timely manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience in aviation, hospitality, or retail industries
- Knowledge of global distribution systems (GDS) such as Sabre, Amadeus, or Worldspan
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and airport operations
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
