Position Overview


Are you ready to combine your sales expertise with your passion for data analytics? arenaflex is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Sales Specialist to join our dynamic Public Sector team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving data analytics engagement and adoption across government and higher education accounts. You will serve as the trusted advisor for our clients, helping them understand how arenaflex's data analytics solutions can transform their operations, improve decision-making, and deliver better outcomes for the communities they serve.

As a member of the arenaflex Cloud team, you will focus on customers and prospects who run Data Analytics workloads on the arenaflex Cloud Platform. You will advocate for the revolutionary impact of our data products to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile. This is a remote-friendly position that offers the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful impact on public sector modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities


As a Data Analytics Sales Specialist at arenaflex, you will be instrumental in expanding our footprint in the public sector. Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Strategic Account Development: Generate and execute plans to ensure significant Data Analytics engagement into new arenaflex Cloud accounts. Identify opportunities for expansion and develop tailored strategies to meet each client's unique needs.

  • Revenue Growth: Drive new Data Analytics workloads in existing arenaflex Cloud accounts and accelerate Data Analytics intake for key accounts by ramping Data Analytics spend. Meet and exceed revenue targets while building lasting customer relationships.

  • Executive Relationship Building: Build and maintain executive relationships with clients as the Data Analytics subject matter expert. Influence long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor to C-level decision makers in government and education sectors.

  • Business Development: Develop business strategies to succeed at accelerating contract cycles in an engaged environment. Navigate complex procurement processes and demonstrate the value proposition of arenaflex solutions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop the business with new Data Analytics clients and workloads. Partner with engineering, marketing, and product teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Thought Leadership: Translate business value to technology at the executive level and act as a thought leader within the data analytics domain. Present at industry conferences, webinars, and client meetings to showcase arenaflex capabilities.

  • Solution Selling: Understand and articulate the technical aspects of arenaflex's data analytics stack, including cloud data warehouses, business intelligence tools, and AI/ML capabilities. Position solutions that address client pain points and deliver measurable outcomes.

Essential Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you will need:


  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. An advanced degree is a plus but not required.

  • Sales Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in selling information analytics software programs or solutions. You must have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a technology sales environment.

  • Public Sector Expertise: Experience in government-level sales or consulting in cloud-based technology (such as SaaS) to State and Local Government and Higher Education institutions. Understanding of the unique procurement processes and stakeholder dynamics in the public sector is essential.

  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable discussing data infrastructure, cloud platforms, and analytics tools.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present compelling proposals and negotiate contracts at the executive level.

  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events. Must be able to effectively engage with clients both in-person and virtually.

Preferred Qualifications


While not required, the following qualifications will help you excel in this role:


  • Technical Depth: Experience working with market-leading Business Intelligence front-end, Data Analytics Middleware, or back-end Data Warehouse technology. Familiarity with ETL processes, data modeling, and data governance.

  • AI/ML Experience: Experience working with AI/ML technologies integrated into data solutions. Understanding of how machine learning can enhance analytics capabilities and deliver actionable insights.

  • Cloud Data Analytics Stack Proficiency: Deep understanding of Cloud Data Analytics technology stack, including Hadoop/Spark Data Lakes, SQL Data Warehouses, Data Streaming, ETL and Data Governance, Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics, OLAP, and Data technology frameworks. Familiarity with BigQuery and Looker is highly desirable.

  • Consulting Background: Previous consulting experience with a focus on data analytics and cloud transformation projects. Experience helping organizations develop data strategies and implement analytics solutions.

  • Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, data analytics, or sales methodology. Arenaflex Cloud certifications are a plus.
