Design Consultant - Architectural Controls

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. The Design Consultant – Architectural Controls will work on design approvals for various projects and administer them on the Archcontrol.com web platform, ensuring compliance with design guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Creation of Design Guidelines including maps, and house style graphics
• Reviewing of house applications in relation to the guidelines and standards of the development within a web-based platform
• Correspondence with builders and some homeowners
• Physical site inspections on the exterior of homes (homes and landscapes)
• Prepare inspection reports
• Get involved in other projects in the office on an as-required basis

Skills

• Diploma in Architectural Technology or Landscape Architectural Technology or a related discipline – related industry experience would be considered
• Strong interest in house design and land development
• Experience with house exterior design would be an asset
• Good design sense with creative problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail
• Strong computer skills in MS office, Adobe, etc. and web-based applications – proficiency in CAD is an asset, but not essential
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills and interest in dealing with a diverse range of clients, including homebuilders and homeowners
• Good organizational and time management skills
