What You'll Be Doing in the role of Donor Experience Office III, Prospect Development: The Donor Experience Officer III (DXO III), Prospect Development serves as a key member of the National Major Gifts and Donor Experience team, specializing in prospect identification, portfolio optimization, and data-informed donor strategy. This role supports the development and execution of prospect development strategies that strengthen frontline fundraising performance.

Working closely with the Vice President, National Director, and frontline fundraisers, this position ensures a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects, actionable insights, and well-balanced portfolios. The DXO III will act as a strategic partner and internal resource, translating data and research into clear recommendations that enhance donor engagement and contribute to revenue growth.

This position will report to the Vice President, Major Gifts & Planned Giving. This is a fully remote position.

What You Will Bring To The Table
Conduct prospect research and identification to support the growth of a robust and qualified donor pipeline aligned with major, mid-level, and planned giving priorities

Utilize wealth screening tools, predictive modeling outputs, and donor data to identify and assess prospective donors

Partner with frontline teams to support prospect qualification and movement into active portfolios

Perform targeted and ad-hoc research to support donor strategies and funding opportunities

Recommend the assignment of prospects to frontline fundraisers based on capacity, alignment, and engagement potential

Partner with leadership to ensure portfolios are balanced, actionable, and aligned with revenue goals

Contribute to portfolio reviews by identifying gaps, opportunities, and recommendations for reassignment or re-engagement

Assist in donor reclassification efforts based on current business rules

Utilize Salesforce reports, dashboards, and related tools to track prospect activity, portfolio health, and engagement metrics

Use current dashboards and reports that provide visibility into pipeline strength and portfolio performance

Analyze donor and prospect data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to frontline staff

Ensure accuracy and integrity of prospect and portfolio data

Serve as a day-to-day partner to VP and National Director, providing research, insights, and recommendations to support cultivation and solicitation strategies

Act as a resource for interpreting wealth data, donor signals, and model scores

Act as a power user of prospect development tools and systems, including Salesforce and wealth screening platforms

Partner with operations and product teams to support enhancements to workflows and processes

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that increase efficiency and effectiveness in prospect development

We Already Know You Will Also Have
Bachelor’s degree required

5+ years of progressive experience in development, operations, or prospect research. 3+ years of experience in a national organization ($50M+ annual budget) preferred.

Excellent organization, time management and detail-orientation skills required to manage donor caseload and document relationship status and updates.

Intrinsically motivated, able to work autonomously in a remote environment

Ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources.

Strong ability to work collaboratively across departments in a complex organization.

Outcome-driven with the ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
