Location: (REMOTE - preference for MST or PST candidates)
A well-established general contractor based in Washington is seeking an experienced Earthwork & Concrete Estimator to support ongoing and upcoming heavy civil projects. This is a remote opportunity, with a preference for candidates located in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones to align with project teams and business hours.
This role will focus on estimating self-perform and subcontracted earthwork, concrete, and water/wastewater scopes, with an emphasis on accuracy, collaboration, and consistency across bids.
- Experience Needed
- Proven estimating experience focused on earthwork and concrete scopes
- Experience estimating water and wastewater infrastructure projects (pipelines, treatment facilities, pump stations, utilities, etc.)
- Background estimating heavy civil and infrastructure projects
- Hands-on experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Strong understanding of means and methods for earthwork, concrete, and utility construction
- Experience reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with operations and project teams
- Qualifications Required
- Prior experience using HCSS HeavyJob
- Prior experience using InEight / Hard Dollar
- Strong knowledge of estimating best practices and cost controls
- High attention to detail and ability to meet bid deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment preferred
- Estimating experience with a general contractor strongly preferred
