Position Overview
arenaflex is currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Enterprise Data Storage Administrator to oversee and maintain our enterprise data storage environments. This critical role is based at our corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City and offers a competitive hourly rate of $24 per hour with full-time employment benefits. The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter expert in enterprise data storage operations and engineering, demonstrating the ability to communicate complex technical concepts across multiple platforms and stakeholder groups.
As the Enterprise Data Storage Administrator at arenaflex, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our extensive data storage infrastructure, ensuring data backup integrity, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing ongoing recommendations and best practices to optimize our storage operations. This position requires a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses the technical expertise to handle diverse storage technologies including NAS, SAN, DAS environments, and other storage technologies as designated.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Storage Environment Management: Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of enterprise data storage environments and oversee all aspects of storage infrastructure operations, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Backup and Data Security Implementation: Execute and maintain enterprise backup and data security technologies, implementing robust disaster recovery solutions and ensuring data protection compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Efficiently manage and monitor reporting platforms and storage management software, generating insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of storage operations.
- Capacity Planning and Strategy: Define and implement trend storage planning strategies based on industry regulations and best practices, anticipating future storage needs and ensuring infrastructure scalability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface and communicate with application, database, server, and other technology teams on architecture and deployment selection to ensure appropriate storage technology and configuration alignment.
- Project Management: Exhibit strong organizational skills to adapt and prioritize tasks in a continuously changing workplace environment, managing multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- Documentation: Contribute clear and concise documentation for both routine and sporadic tasks, maintaining comprehensive records of storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Technical Support and Guidance: Provide technical support and guidance on complex activities such as installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations for all storage systems.
- System Maintenance: Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the health and security of storage systems, ensuring compliance with organizational security policies.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in data storage or related field with emphasis on networking and storage protocols.
- Industry Expertise: Must have industry knowledge and experience for large-scale SAN design and implementation, demonstrating proven track record in enterprise storage architecture.
- OEM Experience: Proven expertise in enterprise storage organization, with hands-on experience in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
- Data Protection Technologies: Strong grasp of current and advanced data protection technologies, including backup solutions, replication, and disaster recovery methodologies.
- NAS Expertise: Experience with NAS concepts and protocols including CIFS, NFS, and S3 implementations.
- Data Synchronization: Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS environments.
- Operating System Infrastructure: Operating system infrastructure Network Skills with proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Virtualization: VMWare concepts and networking expertise, with understanding of virtualized storage environments.
