Entry Level Part-time Accountant

AMC Source is a firm with 75 years of experience in advancing client missions through smart strategy and responsible management. They are seeking a Part-time Accounting Manager responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial statement preparation for not-for-profit entities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record various journal entries to the general ledger for membership based not-for-profit entities
• Prepare month-end membership revenue reconciliations
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis for accounts
• Review the results of client events and make necessary accounting entries
• Investigate and report on variances in budget
• Plan, coordinate and/or lead assigned month-end reviews
• Complete monthly, quarterly and year-end close responsibilities
• Support Finance Director in external audit
• Use technology including Word, Excel, Outlook, QuickBooks Online as well as Association Management Software MemberClicks

Skills

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting with 1-2 years of experience in similar position
• Skills and experience working with Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups, pivot tables, etc
• Highly motivated, flexible, quality focused, team player with strong organizational skills who can maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines
• Must have strong communication, customer service skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Self-starter, energetic, enthusiastic and customer service focused
• Able to create and maintain strong relationships with volunteer leaders
• Interested in learning and advancing career
