We are seeking an organized, entrepreneurial professional to lead signature fundraising events, corporate sponsorships, and community engagement initiatives that directly support the mental health of military families.
Every event we host ultimately supports life-saving mental health services for veterans and their families.
Position Summary
The Events & Corporate Partnerships Manager leads the planning, fundraising strategy, and execution of Camaraderie Foundation’s major events and community engagement initiatives.
This role functions as both a fundraising strategist and event producer, responsible for generating revenue through corporate sponsorships, partnerships, auctions, and donor engagement while managing all logistical aspects of event execution.
The position oversees the organization’s signature fundraising events, develops third-party fundraising opportunities, and coordinates community-building activities for veteran families.
This is a hands-on role responsible for managing events from concept through completion—including sponsorship sales, venue management, vendor coordination, run-of-show development, and on-site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement an annual fundraising events strategy aligned with the organization’s development goals
- Establish event revenue goals and identify opportunities to increase sponsorship and fundraising revenue year-over-year
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and community partners
- Track event performance including revenue, sponsorship growth, donor participation, and return on investment
- Prepare post-event reports and recommendations to improve fundraising outcomes and strengthen donor engagement
Signature Fundraising Events
- Lead all aspects of Camaraderie Foundation’s major fundraising events, including:
- Annual Camaraderie Foundation Gala
- PTSD Awareness Fundraising Breakfast
- Golf Tournament
- 5K Run/Walk
- Responsibilities include:
- Designing and selling corporate sponsorship packages
- Securing auction items and in-kind donations
- Managing event budgets and financial tracking
- Identifying and securing venues
- Negotiating vendor contracts
- Coordinating catering, entertainment, production, décor, and program elements
- Managing invitations, ticket sales, RSVPs, and guest lists
- Developing event themes, scripts, and run-of-show
- Coordinating speakers, honorees, and awards
- Managing silent and live auctions
- Leading volunteers and event committees
- Overseeing on-site registration and guest experience
- Supervising event setup, execution, and breakdown
Sponsorship Development & Corporate Partnerships
Drive corporate fundraising through sponsorships and strategic partnerships.
- Responsibilities include:
- Identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate sponsors and community partners
- Developing customized sponsorship proposals and partnership opportunities
- Managing sponsor relationships, benefits fulfillment, and stewardship
- Securing in-kind donations for fundraising events and community activities
- Building long-term partnerships aligned with the organization’s mission
Third-Party Fundraising Events
Expand community engagement through third-party fundraising opportunities.
- Responsibilities include:
- Identifying organizations interested in hosting events benefiting Camaraderie Foundation
- Supporting businesses, civic groups, and community organizations that wish to fundraise on behalf of the Foundation
- Ensuring alignment with organizational branding, messaging, and fundraising goals
Veteran Family Community Events
Coordinate Family Fun Days and community-building activities for veteran families as part of the Foundation’s Pay It Forward initiative.
These events provide opportunities for veterans and their families to connect while strengthening community support for the organization’s mission.
- Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating family engagement events in Orlando, Tampa, and surrounding areas
- Managing partnerships with venues such as sports teams, performing arts centers, theme parks, and community attractions
- Securing sponsorships or donations to offset event costs
- Managing logistics, registration, volunteers, and event execution
- Creating opportunities to engage future volunteers, donors, and community supporters
Program Support Events
- Support mission-driven program activities, including:
- Planning and coordinating the Mentor Leadership Program Graduation
- Managing awards, certificates, and program recognition elements
Qualifications
- Required
- 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising events, sponsorship sales, or development
- Proven experience managing fundraising events such as galas, tournaments, or large-scale community events
- Demonstrated success securing corporate sponsorships or fundraising revenue
- Experience managing events from concept through execution
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events
- Preferred
- Experience working in nonprofit development or donor engagement
- Experience securing auction items and in-kind donations
- Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems
- Experience working with volunteer committees or boards

Important: This position focuses on fundraising and sponsorship development through events, not social services or activity programming.
- Work Environment
- This role requires occasional evening and weekend work to support fundraising events and community activities
- This is currently a remote position but local travel within Central Florida (primarily Orlando and Tampa) may be required to fulfill the job duties and attend organizational events

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
