About the Role
As an Account Manager at arenaflex, you'll be chartered with acquiring, developing, and managing high-value relationships that cozy new product selection, competitive pricing, and convenience for our customers. You'll be responsible for identifying product selection gaps, executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and attracting key marketplace players to join our e-commerce ecosystem.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with sellers across various industries, helping them leverage our platform to grow their businesses while enhancing the shopping experience for millions of customers. You'll play a critical role in expanding our third-party (3P) marketplace in the USA and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Market Intelligence: Develop a thorough understanding of the marketplace segment, including seasonality, global trends, and competitive activities. Continuously monitor competitor efforts and identify opportunities for growth.
- Business Development: Identify, prospect, and acquire high-potential sellers to join our platform through direct sales visits, events, presentations, and strategic partnerships.
- Merchant Enablement: Guide sellers by sharing best practices for online selling, including data-driven insights that help merchants achieve high standards of delivery, customer experience, and business objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with and influence both internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve vendor issues, ensuring seamless seller experiences.
- Growth Strategy: Execute strategies to maximize our product selection aspect and client base, driving measurable growth in seller recruitment and retention.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze sales data and market trends to recommend improvements in seller performance and platform offerings.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- 1 to 3 years of successful business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, preferably in the e-commerce, technology, retail, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industries.
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using consultative and solutions-focused selling approaches.
- Experience promoting nascent products/offerings into new markets is strongly preferred.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office programs for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and remain highly enthusiastic about success and winning.
- Exceptional business judgment with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced analytical abilities and quantitative capabilities, comfortable working with complex financial data.
- Polished communication skills—including speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating.
- Ability to think and lead in a high-energy, rapid-paced environment with "hands-on" management of responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of e-commerce experience is a plus.
- 3 years of experience in the consumer electronics quarter is a plus.
- 3 years of direct sales experience is a plus.
- Experience with third-party marketplace platforms or seller ecosystems.
- Familiarity with cross-border trade and international sales dynamics.
