Position Overview

We are seeking a highly meticulous and analytically gifted professional to join our Actuarial team in a remote or hybrid capacity. Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our Actuarial team, you will be responsible for a wide range of analytical and technical tasks that drive business decisions across the organization. Your responsibilities will span multiple business areas, providing you with exposure to various aspects of healthcare operations and financial planning. Risk Evaluation: Understand the nature of specific risks and provide consequences of risk analysis to management. You will assess potential exposures, evaluate risk factors, and develop recommendations to mitigate identified threats to organizational stability and profitability.

Rate Recording: Categorize and analyze filing data, then prepare and submit necessary exhibits for regulatory filings. This includes maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and collaborating with legal and compliance teams to meet all reporting requirements.

Reserve Analysis: Analyze claims data and monitor reserve levels for adequacy. You will demonstrate a solid understanding of actuarial reserving methods and issues, providing insights that inform financial planning and ensure the organization maintains appropriate reserves to meet future obligations.

Planning and Forecasting: Provide technical support and analysis for the planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. This involves developing financial models, creating projections, and presenting findings to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.

Pricing, Trend, and Benefit Design: Develop and recommend pricing and trend strategies for products and benefits. You will analyze market conditions, competitor offerings, and cost trends to develop pricing models that balance competitiveness with profitability.

Technical Capability: Foster innovative technical solutions for various business challenges. This includes demonstrating proficiency with spreadsheets and knowledge of databases and online applications. You will create and implement appropriate tools and models, and develop and resolve business requirements and specifications for processes, tools, and systems.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including underwriting, sales, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and achieve common goals. Present complex analytical findings in clear, actionable terms to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
