As a Customer Service Representative on our remote team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences in the commercial energy business. You'll work closely with our dedicated energy team to provide prompt and accurate processing of energy efficiency applications, as well as provide overall customer service in a specialized and technical environment. Your daily work will involve:

  • Non-scripted customer interactions via phone, email, and software chat application
  • Professional outreach to customers and program participants
  • Reviewing and assisting customers with energy application inquiries and program questions
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Provide exceptional customer service to commercial energy customers via phone, email, and software chat application
  • Process energy efficiency applications accurately and efficiently
  • Assist customers with program questions and inquiries
  • Collaborate with the energy team to resolve customer issues and concerns
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of professional work experience
  • 2+ years of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and other programs within the MS Office Suite
  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Previous business processing or back-office experience
  • Ability to accurately process applications within a highly repetitive processing environment
  • Previous sales or customer service experience
  • Computer skills, including data entry with a high degree of accuracy and speed, and database navigation
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to display high energy level, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for the program
  • Experience working with program participants ranging from homeowners to contractors
  • Identifies, defines, and resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to type 45-50 wpm
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior interpersonal skills, including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
  • Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities and to work limited overtime as necessary
  • Able to sit for prolonged periods of time
