Position Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Call Center Representative to join our Patient Support Services team at arenaflex. In this role, you will be responsible for processing patient information, handling high-volume customer requests, and ensuring accurate data entry within our pharmacy systems.

Key Responsibilities
As a Call Center Representative at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless pharmacy operations and exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Patient Enrollment and Information Management: Perform patient information section and enrollment processes in accordance with state and government guidelines. Accurately enter new patient data into our pharmacy management systems while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Prescription Data Entry: Utilize arenaflex's prescription data entry procedures and guidelines to process new patient enrollments by entering information into appropriate systems. Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing by our pharmacy team.
- Prescription Investigation and Resolution: Investigate to obtain missing prescription information and decode clinical abbreviations (SIG codes) to ensure accurate medication dispensing. Resolve all data entry-related exceptions promptly and accurately.
- Patient Communication: Handle comprehensive correspondence with patients including inbound phone calls, emails, and written communications. Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed to clarify information, verify prescriptions, or follow up on medication requests.
- Third-Party Reject Resolution: Resolve third-party rejects by assessing situations, collecting necessary information, creating prescriptions, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements. Make phone calls to insurance providers and other parties to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve third-party rejects efficiently.
- Pharmacist Support: Provide assistance to Pharmacists, both those in the office and those in various locations. Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate to ensure seamless pharmacy operations.
- Compliance and Documentation: Maintain guideline working procedures and perform duties in accordance with arenaflex policies and techniques. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- License and Certification: Obtain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain an active license or certification throughout employment.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Computer Skills: Basic level computer skills including the ability to start up and shut down computers, use mouse pointing and clicking, start and close programs, switch between programs, save documents, print documents, and access information online
- Internet Skills: Basic web browser skills including opening a browser, typing URLs in the correct location, using a search engine, bookmarking websites, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online
- Keyboard Skills: Intermediate keyboarding skills with a minimum typing speed of 25 WPM, ability to type from memory, and organize documents efficiently
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment
- At least 1.5 years of pharmacy technician experience with certification/registration by the state as granted by the State Board for Pharmacies or a nationally recognized certification agency
- Proven experience providing customer care to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction
- Intermediate to advanced keyboarding skills with a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
