  • Direct Customer Engagement: You'll interact with pet parents who reach out for various reasons—whether they're shopping for a new furry family member, searching for the perfect chew toy, or seeking solutions when something doesn't go according to plan.   • Problem Resolution: Research and resolve customer issues using critical thinking skills. You'll identify appropriate solutions, think proactively to prevent future issues, and set follow-up actions to ensure complete contact resolution.

  • Empathetic Communication: Operate with understanding, practice active listening, demonstrate patience, show genuine empathy, and approach every interaction with kindness—both with customers and your fellow team members.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Essential Qualifications


  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional customer service experience is required. This should include direct customer interaction in a service-oriented role.

  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal, and active listening communication. You'll be asked to complete a written assessment as part of our hiring process.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English is mandatory. Strong preference for candidates who are also fluent in Canadian French (Quebecois), as we serve customers across North America.

  • Multitasking Ability: Must be comfortable maintaining a conversation while simultaneously navigating computer systems, inputting data, and taking detailed notes.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills including rapid navigation through multiple systems, efficient data entry, and internet research capabilities to find information that helps support our customers.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business needs with flexibility and a positive attitude.

  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to shift schedules and work overtime as needed by the business unit. Our customers need us at various times, including peak periods.

  • Confidentiality: Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information is essential.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior experience in e-commerce or retail customer service

  • Familiarity with pet care products and industry knowledge

  • Experience working remotely or in a distributed team environment

  • Additional language skills beyond English and French

Technical Requirements for Remote Work

As a remote arenaflex team member, you'll need to set up an appropriate home office environment that meets our standards:


  • Workspace: Your work area must be large enough to comfortably accommodate computer monitors and be free from distractions. This includes eliminating background noise that could impact the customer experience.

  • Video Presence: Your work area must be acceptable for webcam use during team meetings and video calls.

  • Internet Connection: You must have a reliable wired, high-speed internet and broadband connection with minimum speeds of 30 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. You can test your speed at speedtest.net or contact your service provider. Applicants must meet and demonstrate this requirement.

  • Equipment Provided: Arenaflex will provide everything you need to succeed: computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam. You simply need to provide the high-speed internet connection.

  • Two-Factor Authentication: A cell phone or tablet is required for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify. This can be either a smartphone/tablet with the Okta mobile app downloaded or a cell phone capable of receiving SMS messages and phone calls.
