We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in Golden, CO. As a telecommuter, you'll have the flexibility to work from home while taking on challenging responsibilities that will directly impact the lives of our patients.   • *Primary Responsibilities**

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Answering a minimum of 60-75 incoming calls daily from patients, providers, specialty offices, pharmacies, and other stakeholders
  • Scheduling office visits, annual wellness visits, and other appointments for Internal Medicine and Family Practice primary care offices
  • Requesting medication refills, referrals, and sending messages on behalf of patients, providers, or specialty offices
  • Navigating multiple Electronic Health Record systems
  • Following ROI/HIPAA protocols to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information
  • Registering new patients and inputting patient demographics and insurance information
  • Attending monthly staff meetings, which can be in-person or virtual
  • Participating in quarterly on-site trainings to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices
  • *Required Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • 1 year of experience in a customer service environment, using phones and computers as primary job tools
  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • The ability to type at an average speed of 40 wpm
  • The ability to troubleshoot IT/Computer issues independently
  • The ability to complete the training onsite
  • The ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, with occasional overtime as needed
  • *Preferred Qualifications**

While not required, having the following qualifications will make you a strong candidate:

  • 1 year of prior healthcare experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • *Telecommuting Requirements**

As a telecommuter, you'll need to:

  • Reside within 30 miles of the office location at 1707 Cole Blvd, Golden, CO
  • Keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Establish a dedicated work area that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Have a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • *Colorado Residents Only**

The hourly range for this position is $16.00 - $28.27 per hour, based on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and more. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
