As a Data Analyst supporting arenaflex+ Product, Marketing, and Content Curation, you'll be instrumental in helping us understand our audiences better, optimize their streaming experiences, and shape the strategic direction of one of the world's most exciting streaming platforms.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Data Analyst to support our arenaflex+ Product, Marketing, and Content Curation teams, as well as our In-Home Advertising and Distribution groups. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will work closely with the arenaflex+ Product teams, analyzing and integrating data while providing support for both quantitative and qualitative research initiatives across strategic business units.
This hybrid position requires in-person collaboration from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. The role is based in California, offering you the opportunity to be part of our innovative culture while maintaining work-life balance.
What You'll Do
As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, your responsibilities will span a diverse range of research and analytical activities designed to drive strategic decision-making across the organization:
- Research Support: Assist with a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data collection and mapping, as well as extraction and analysis of information from multiple sources to build comprehensive reports, tables, and presentation materials.
- Data Integration: Join various datasets using SQL and other data manipulation tools to support the day-to-day operations of the arenaflex+ client experience tracking projects, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with multiple teams across the organization to conduct research, including communicating project objectives, business requirements, and timelines to efficiently prioritize, develop, and enhance our datasets.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with research partners within the team and from other departments, as well as external vendors, fostering a collaborative ecosystem of insights and innovation.
- Reporting and Analysis: Analyze and prepare ongoing and ad-hoc reports using quantitative and qualitative data for various groups within product marketing, engagement, and product strategy for arenaflex+ and the arenaflex Streaming offerings.
- Project Management: Manage assigned projects, implement quality assurance processes, and report on assignments and status to supervisors to ensure completion within established timelines.
- Strategic Partnership: Work with the Senior Manager and team to ensure that every deliverable is strategically meaningful and drives informed decision-making across the organization.
- Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with the team and research groups within Snowflake and Databricks environments to leverage advanced analytics capabilities.
- Documentation: Maintain exceptional verbal and written documentation of data elements and requirements, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.
- Critical Analysis: Respond to critical data requests from internal clients with urgency and precision, delivering actionable insights under tight deadlines.
- Presentation Support: Support the presentation of findings based on conducted analysis and contribute to related business discussions, translating complex data into compelling narratives.
- Industry Awareness: Stay at the forefront of SVOD and In-Home industry trends amid a constantly evolving landscape, bringing fresh perspectives and competitive intelligence to the team.
Required Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who bring a combination of educational background, technical expertise, and passion for the entertainment industry:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or a related field, combined with 3 years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, a Graduate degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or a related field with 1 year of relevant professional experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong capability with SQL, including the ability to query and combine unique data sources from disparate systems.
- Data Extraction Skills: Ability to extract data and merge with different data sources to develop rich, complete pictures for business analysis.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex datasets into meaningful insights.
- Time Management: Capacity to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to create clear and concise visual presentations for diverse audiences.
- Multitasking: Strong multitasking abilities and readiness to work effectively in an environment of tight timelines and constant change.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would strengthen your application and demonstrate your readiness for success in this role:
- Proficiency in data processing tools such as SPSS, Q, or MarketSight
- Experience with survey tools including Interpret, Qualtrics, or SurveyMonkey
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar environments
- Programming knowledge in R, Python, SAS, STATA, or similar languages
- Advanced degree in Market Research or Statistics
- Quantitative research background, either provider-side or client-side
- Experience analyzing survey data to extract meaningful insights
- Familiarity with subscription-based business models and strategies
Compensation and Benefits
At arenaflex, we believe in rewarding talent, dedication, and innovation. The hiring range for this position in California is $93,400 to $125,200 annually. The exact compensation offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the applicant's geographic location, work-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
