The Innovation Office is a hub of creativity and innovation at arenaflex. As an Innovation Investigator Understudy, you'll have the opportunity to work with various groups, including Air Tasks, Client and Business, Framework and Administrations, and Individuals and Money. You'll be part of a dynamic team that's always looking for ways to improve our services and processes.

  • *Group Stage QMO**

The Quality Administration Office (QMO) is a critical component of the Innovation Office. While QMO is primarily focused on the application side, we work closely with our teams to ensure that the applications they use for their daily tasks are of the highest quality. Without this guarantee, issues could arise during flights, affecting our operations. Our daily work involves collaborating with Case's (Scrum Expert, Engineer, Item Proprietors) to test the application as they make changes. We're also responsible for tracking metrics to showcase progress and ensure that our Administration is aware of how testing is going.

The Southwest Get-aways (SWAV) group is at the forefront of creating a new, revenue-generating product for arenaflex beyond its core air product.   • *Responsibilities and Obligations**

The responsibilities and obligations of the Innovation Investigator Understudy may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with business clients to conduct requirements analysis related to frameworks and business processes to create quality technical solutions
  • Ensuring that solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and conform to departmental guidelines
  • Managing timelines for planning, coding, testing, and executing to ensure that solutions are completed on time and within budget
  • Acting as a resource to ensure effective communication between business and Innovation groups
  • Participating in framework and acceptance testing
  • Scope of work varies depending on the group project

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement is preferred
  • Essential knowledge of technical environment required
  • Openness to Agile methodologies is preferred
  • Essential understanding of project management procedures
  • Critical thinking and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines
  • Past investigator internship experience within the past year is preferred
  • Experience solving business problems in a capstone or case competition is preferred
  • Ability to work in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, and empathetic
