- *Job Summary**
As an Experienced Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, actionable insights from real-world evidence (RWE) and real-world data (RWD) to support biopharmaceutical companies and medical trials. You will work closely with the Scientific Affairs group to design and execute advanced analytics strategies, develop predictive models, and create data visualizations to inform business decisions. - *Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain advanced analytics models and algorithms to analyze RWE and RWD
- Design and execute data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions
- Conduct due diligence on new RWE and RWD companies and evaluate their quality and relevance
- Develop and maintain expertise in RWE and RWD standards, terminologies, and ontologies
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data science and analytics
- Participate in the development of arenaflex's data science strategy and roadmap
- *Essential Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or computational field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a quantitative or computational role
- Proficiency in R, Python, or SQL programming languages
- Experience in designing and executing strong and reproducible statistical analyses in the context of epidemiology and observational studies with healthcare data
- Knowledge of common statistical testing methods, including generalized linear models, classification and regression trees, decision trees, unsupervised learning, time series analysis, and survival analysis
- Experience processing large datasets from diverse data sources
- Experience working with covered patient health data
- Knowledge of at least one business intelligence tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire)
- *Preferred Qualifications**
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative or computational field (e.g., statistics, computer science, mathematics, systems engineering)
- Expertise in electronic medical records (EMR) and health information technology (HIT)
- Experience with disease registries and policy claims databases
- Knowledge of medical information standards, clinical terminologies, and managed vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode)
- Experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/or regulatory compliance guidelines for RWE research or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR)
- Experience working with alternative data sources and alternative methods of medical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology systems and/or solutions
- Experience with experimental design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, and computational statistics
- Understanding of machine learning and systems learning techniques, ability to maintain self-learning of technical and non-technical skills
