  • *Key Responsibilities**

As an External Support Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support to content/external teams in regard to use of content tools, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues
  • Creating reference materials and providing training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, ensuring they're equipped to use our tools effectively
  • Escalating complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, working closely with production to track these issues in JIRA
  • Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, driving innovation and continuous improvement
  • Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing
  • Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, ensuring that our tools meet the evolving needs of our content creation teams
  • Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, setting a high standard for our team and our partners
  • *Essential Skills and Abilities**

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to read and understand C# code
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working with external partners and stakeholders
  • A positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously
  • Self-motivation, with a strong sense of accountability and a willingness to take ownership of your work
  • *Preferred Qualifications**

While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience supporting a live service or tool environment
  • Unity 3D game and tool development experience
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect-tracking software
  • iOS and Android mobile development experience
  • 5 years experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment
