We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Financial Analyst – Planning and Analysis to join our dynamic team. What You'll Do
As a Financial Analyst on our Planning and Analysis team, you will play a critical role in driving our merchant revenue forecasting and analysis capabilities. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to make informed strategic decisions and maintain our competitive edge in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Forecasting: Create comprehensive Canada forecasts for merchant discount revenue, track monthly performance against projections, and identify key drivers of variance to ensure accuracy and reliability in our financial planning.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain merchant discount revenue scorecards for the Canada region, providing stakeholders with clear, actionable insights into business performance and trends.
- Process Improvement: Drive standardization and process improvement initiatives among the various regional pricing teams, ensuring consistency and efficiency in all reporting and forecasting activities.
- Audit Support: Support external audits by investigating issues identified, coordinating with regional pricing teams that manage merchant relationships to discuss findings, and driving timely resolutions.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform spontaneous data analysis to evaluate discount rate trends and uncover valuable insights that can inform strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with multiple colleagues across different business units to achieve optimal pricing outcomes and support merchant acceptance objectives.
- Strategic Contribution: Contribute to revenue and profit growth through client-driven pricing standards, more flexible pricing architecture, and innovative pricing solutions.
What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in financial services, payments industry, or other finance-related roles.
- Technical Proficiency: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. You should be comfortable working with complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
- Programming Knowledge: Knowledge of programming languages such as SAS and SQL is required for data extraction and analysis.
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and organization, with a demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and extract value-added insights from large volumes of financial data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills—both written and oral—with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Relationship Management: Strong relationship management and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be differing objectives.
