  • *Key Responsibilities**

As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes using arenaflex's big data stack, including Python, Redshift, QuickSight, and EMR.
  • Creating and managing ETL pipelines to source data from various financial, AWS, and operational systems, and developing a unified data model for analysis and reporting.
  • Developing and supporting real-time data pipelines based on arenaflex's advancements, including EMR, Paste, Redshift, and Athena.
  • Collaborating with other engineering teams, product managers, and analysts to implement advanced analytics and machine learning models that leverage our rich datasets for business insights, forecasting, and more.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest big data and analytics technologies to provide innovative solutions and improve efficiency.
  • Developing business intelligence dashboards using QuickSight and other tools to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Enabling non-technical stakeholders to drive their own analysis and reporting through self-serve analytics and supporting ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Working closely with colleagues to drive continuous model deployments for risk management and alerting.
  • Managing multiple priorities simultaneously, focusing on high-impact tasks, and collaborating across teams to deliver results.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior engineers, promoting a positive team culture, and contributing to the growth of the team.
  • *Essential Capabilities**
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools like QuickSight.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in designing and developing data architectures from scratch and maintaining existing systems.
  • Ability to manage large and complex datasets, with experience in execution tuning and optimization.
  • Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, or similar.
  • Experience working with big data storage solutions like data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Experience in designing data models that support structured and unstructured data.
  • Ability to gather requirements and design business metrics for reporting.
  • *Preferred Capabilities**
  • Experience with arenaflex's advancements like Redshift, S3, AWS Paste, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
  • Experience with non-relational databases and data stores (object storage, report or key-value stores, graph databases, and column-family databases).
  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with programming in Python and related libraries.

  • *Compensation and Benefits**

Our compensation reflects the cost of living across various US geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $35,000 to $40,000 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on various factors, including market area, and may vary depending on work-related information, skills, and experience. arenaflex is a total compensation organization, offering a comprehensive package that includes value, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation, in addition to a full range of clinical, financial, and other benefits.
