As a Full Stack Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting our server farm operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of our services to our clients. You'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including data entry, equipment management, and technical support. - *Key Responsibilities**
- Unpack, stock, and install client equipment, such as servers, storage, and network devices, into client racks
- Manage client resources, including performing stock reviews, receiving and delivering hardware, and coordinating technical tasks with internal teams
- Establish cabling and link associations per arenaflex or client guidelines, including naming
- Investigate and diagnose complex equipment issues
- Perform substitution of DIMMs, hard drives, power supplies, and other parts within servers, storage, and network devices
- Understand and execute instructions given by clients and internal teams
- Perform authorizing and decommissioning of equipment
- Establish cross-connections and work with Telco providers to investigate circuits
- Install and investigate Feline 5E, CAT6, single mode, and multi-mode fix links
- Establish server farm foundation materials, including racks and cabinets, with establishing, link plate, and stepping stool, link management, copper, and fiber organizing link, copper, and fiber fix boards, and other materials necessary for server farm operations
- Perform installation and maintenance on Power Distribution Units (PDUs) within client areas
- Work in a standard tagging framework, providing clear, concise, and fitting client communications
- Regularly communicate with staff, contractors, and clients via telephone, email, or tagging framework
- Occasionally join call extensions to investigate and approve foundation-related issues
- *Stick to Change Control Cycles and Norms**
- Periodically provide corporate desktop support services, including PC imaging, printer support, client account organization, and other equipment, software, telecom, and communication services with assistance from desktop specialists
- Act as a communication organizer and situation administrator during any critical occurrences call span occasions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Support external vendor activities
- Process all tickets within SLA rules and observe procedural requirements
- *Information, Abilities, and Capacities**
- Past experience working in a complex high-availability server farm environment is preferred
- Working knowledge of server farm cycles and design (power, cooling, overt repetitiveness)
- Working knowledge of wind current administration best practices
- Working knowledge of PC equipment
- Ability to provide and recommend solutions for internal staff and clients
- Understanding of networking components and foundations
- Experience with link management and knowledge of how to run fiber and copper in a server farm, including labeling
- Experience with fix boards
- Knowledge of copper and fiber link testing equipment
- Excellent investigating and issue resolution skills
- Ability to work material handling equipment - server lifts and bed jacks
- Ability to demonstrate successful team and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Server farm incident resolution, resource management, and coordinated factors
- Decisive reasoning and dynamic connected with blackout risk appraisal
- Normal, predictable attendance is essential for acceptable performance
- Strong understanding of servers, switches, network switches, and fix boards. Should understand how devices are interconnected and how to investigate equipment and layer 1 network issues
- Capability working with standard desktop PC tools and applications, like MS Office, MS Viewpoint, internet browsers, etc.
- Experience with dynamic index, Office 365, and enterprise-level tagging frameworks
- Experience with PCs, workstations, docking stations, and enterprise-level peripherals
- Experience with participating and supporting critical incidents (incident call extensions, communications, and organization of critical incidents)
- Understanding of control center links, basic network orders, and SSH/Telnet clients like Clay
- Should be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- *Training and EXPERIENCE**
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of server farm climate or assist desktop experiencing is required
- CompTIA A accreditation or comparable experience required
- CompTIA Network and BICSI Installer 1 certification preferred
- *Actual Prerequisites**
- Physically able to move and rack hardware
- Able to ascend a ladder and work on a raised platform
- Able to safely lift and move up to fifty (50) pounds
- Should be able to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
- Should be able to move from one location to another within an office environment
- Should be able to use a computer
- Some positions may require periodic repetitive movement or movements of the wrists, hands, or possibly fingers
- *WORK CONDITIONS**
Server farm environment with fluctuating temperatures and loud noises; extensive daily use of workstation or PC. This position may require rotating shifts to support an around-the-clock support plan.
- *Exceptional Necessities**
- Should work on-site; no working from home allowed
- Should be open to working in a highly critical, fast-paced environment with changing needs
- Should have a valid, current state-issued driver's license
- Should be flexible in schedule to support division needs as necessary. (Inclusion for In-Fill type projects, PTO, sick leave, etc.)
- Should agreeably pass or complete any required client individual verifications or training
- This position requires work to be done on-site at a server farm office and may require use of an individual cell phone. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover costs incurred using an individual device, if applicable.
- *Compensation and Benefits**
arenaflex offers competitive pay based on experience, education, and location. Hourly base compensation for this position is $35-$40/hour and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with local state and government 'Pay and Hour' requirements.
- All standard full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is subject to individual and company performance.
