- *Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Scientist to join our team and lead the development of Real-World Evidence (RWE) and clinical trials initiatives. As a key member of our Clinical Trials group, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality, actionable insights that inform business decisions and drive growth. You'll work closely with our team of experts to design and execute complex data analysis projects, develop predictive models, and create data visualizations that communicate insights effectively.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Mine crude data sets to extract normalized, analysis-ready patient data from in-house data resources or authorized platforms, analyze and interpret results, and shape the investigation process.
- Collaborate with other members of the arenaflex Clinical Trials team to extract meaningful insights from real-world, clinical, and other data sources to support biopharmaceutical RWE and clinical trial initiatives.
- Clean, transform, and store data into a unified data lake for future analysis and broader team utilization.
- Perform data mining and statistical analysis to analyze RWE/RWD and uncover new insights regarding patient populations and treatment outcomes.
- Support the development of RWE, analysis, and platform capabilities, applying advanced techniques and tools to resolve complex scientific questions from biopharmaceutical organizations.
- Work collaboratively on the design and execution of results research studies.
- Ensure high-quality, thorough, and interpretable expectations from RWE review and analysis.
- Develop dashboards, analysis, and reports for internal and external use.
- Conduct an expected level of effort on new true data suppliers, merchants, and drive RWD quality evaluations to inform project decisions.
- *Essential Capabilities**
- 2 years of experience with R, Python, or SQL.
- Experience in designing and executing powerful and reproducible statistical analyses related to epidemiology and observational research with healthcare data.
- Knowledge of standard statistical testing methods, including generalized linear models, regression and classification, decision trees, machine learning, time series analysis, and survival analysis.
- Experience handling large data from various data sources.
- Experience managing protected patient health data.
- Knowledge of at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or other BI visualization tools.
- *Preferred Capabilities**
- Mastery in EMR/Health IT, disease libraries, and claims data sets.
- Aptitude in clinical data principles, clinical terminology, and controlled vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode).
- Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance rules for real-world evidence studies or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR).
- Experience working with alternative data sources and alternative methods for clinical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology platforms and solutions.
- Experience with trial design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, computational statistics.
- Understanding of analytics and AI strategies, ability to continue self-learning of technical and non-technical skills.
