Focus in Data Platform Teams

Data Access Stage

The Data Access Stage team builds and operates a flexible query interface that works with data reflections to operate at sub-millisecond latencies while allowing Netflix microservices to more easily store, consume, and manage their data. This team holds a significant responsibility in enabling Netflix microservices to meet their increasingly growing and evolving data needs.

Data Stage Foundation

The Data Stage Foundation team serves as a platform for our own data platforms. Our shared framework and tooling enable arenaflex to rapidly enhance on providing cutting-edge data and analytics frameworks to the rest of the organization without building customized platforms for each new framework. To do this, we create high-impact frameworks, control, and deployment frameworks that are calibrated for the needs of running our data frameworks at scale; many of our tools and frameworks are written in Python, so this is an excellent group to consider if you enjoy working in various languages.

Big Data Figure

Responsible for providing the cloud-native stage for distributed data processing at arenaflex. This team is crucial to batch data processing in Data Stage. It offers support for Flash, to ETL data into the Petabytes-scale data warehouse and access that data using Flash and Voila/TrinoDB. It also provides sub-second latency to a specific class of queries using Druid. We're looking for exceptional talent with experience in Flash, Presto/Trino, Druid, Ice sheet, and distributed database frameworks overall. Jobs in this group include tackling very fascinating and challenging issues of working with data at scale, building features and performance improvements, and working closely with open-source communities to shape the projects and make contributions.

Big Data Arrangement

Offers the stage for planning, organizing, and executing big data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way. These stages include basic services that have all ETL and ML responsibilities running on Big Data Frameworks at arenaflex. These fully distributed frameworks are continually evolving for arenaflex scale with best-in-class technology. We're moving towards event-driven and intelligent orchestration which would require minimal client input/interference.

About You

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications
• Proficient in the design and development of scalable web services
• Experienced in building and operating adaptable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
• Knowledgeable in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
• Multi-threading is a challenge that you're open to handling
• BS in Computer Science or a related field
