- *Job Summary**
We're seeking an exceptional Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in virtual and simulation testing to join our Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging team. As a key member of this team, you'll develop and implement virtual platforms to test and verify solutions through simulations and emulations with high fidelity. You'll partner with Product Teams, QA Manual Testing and Requirements Team, and internal customers to ensure new solutions meet their requirements and deliver high-quality products that integrate seamlessly into the arenaflex Fulfillment network.
- *Key Responsibilities**
As a Virtual & Simulation Testing Quality Assurance Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and simulating virtual platforms to validate end-to-end solutions with real-life software
- Virtually ensuring that products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training & learning, deployment, process- and MHE- integration, service, and support prior to delivery
- Identifying and setting appropriate quality standards and parameters for products
- Communicating quality standards and parameters to the product team, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams
- Coordinating simulations and testing processes
- Identifying and analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommending and facilitating solutions to these issues
- Connecting with internal customers (Operations, RME, ACES, PE, OpsEng, WWDE, etc.), reviewing client, customer, and user feedback
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies
- *Essential Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams with modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance domain expertise
- Proven experience in fulfillment systems with storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites
- *Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications will make you an even stronger candidate:
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics, and high-speed manufacturing
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, operations, and management
- Project managing skills to start projects and finish projects successfully
