• *Key Responsibilities**

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in our Data Platform team, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable and high-performance data systems
• Developing and implementing data pipelines and tools to support arenaflex's data-driven initiatives
• Working with data engineers and scientists to build data reflections that fuel the needs of various groups, systems, and products
• Streamlining data delivery and building frameworks for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data for a wide range of use cases using SQL/Flask
• Building stream processing pipelines and tools to support a wide range of analysis and review use cases
• Continuously assessing new and relevant technologies and driving the adoption of new best practices
• Influencing and driving engineering and design conversations in the Data Platform team
• Working in a cross-functional team and collaborating with peers throughout the software development life cycle with a strong focus on continuous delivery
• Serving as a technical mentor and guide for junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
• Ability to support hyper-scale data frameworks across multiple geographies and regions

• *Essential Qualifications and Experience**

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 4-6 years of experience in software development, ideally in data-related groups
• In-depth understanding and experience working with high-scale data lakehouse frameworks
• Active experience with Big Data technologies like Apache Flink, SQL, Hadoop, Hive, Wind Current, Kafka, and Kafka connectors
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Go, Python
• Strong understanding of database and data storage fundamentals
• Strong understanding of data storage designs like Parquet, Hudi, Delta, etc.
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment

• *Preferred Qualifications and Experience**

• Experience with data lakehouse solutions like Data Bricks
• Experience with continuous streaming data pipelines using Flink Streaming or Flink
• B.Tech/B.E/Experts/PhD in Software Engineering from a reputable school or related technical discipline
